Interior of Zubieta Mill.
This 18th century mill was renovated and opened to the public in 1998, thanks to the grant that its nearly forty owners bestowed on the local town hall. The architectural project, a work of the architect Maite Apezteguía Elso, won an award from the Official College of Architects of the Basque Country and Navarre. The mill enables the visitor to witness in person the process of corn grinding, given that it continues to be used for its original purpose. One can also see a small exhibition of ethnographic items from the region, related to woodcraft, traditional agricultural work and the famous rural carnival of Ituren-Zubieta.
