The world of the raft, the museum’s main character
The Cultural Association of Rafters in Navarre has assembled a collection of ethnographic objects, photographs and documents in one room of the town hall of this district, gateway to the Roncal Valley. The items on display recreate the work and ways of life of the former rafting community, a trade which has now disappeared, which involved river transport on rudimentary rafts made from tree trunks lashed together.
