Call for entries 2010. Submission to the Official Section

Punto de Vista is now inviting submissions for the next edition of the festival. Rules and application forms are available on the festival’s website. Submission is free of charge.

The International Documentary Film Festival “Punto de Vista” is an annual event featuring the latest trends in the field of documentary film. Since the first ever Festival, staged in 2005, it has been inspired by Jean Vigo’s film and ethical principles. Organized by the INAAC Foundation, a non-profit-making public foundation, the festival is hosted in the city of Pamplona (Spain) every year in February.

The 7th edition will take place from the 22nd to the 27th of February, 2011.

The competition is open to participation by documentary films of any nationality made after 1 August 2009. Fiction, institutional or publicity films will not be admitted, nor reports or works of a journalistic nature. There are no limits with regard to subject matter, length or original language.

One of the fundamental aims of the Festival is to attend to audiovisual creators who turn their work into a daring proposal, a kind of search or quest; those who conceive their work as a process of knowing and understanding human beings and their living conditions in specific social contexts; authors who, through their work, reflect on reality and the ethical relationship formed with both the subjects of their formal proposals and their audiences. The Festival aims to be a stopover for filmmakers that will broaden their perception of reality and the ways in which they express it and conceive it through the audiovisual medium. Ultimately, the Festival is open to all documentary films that represent a reflection and an endeavour to understand reality.

The deadline for submitting a film is 30 September 2010. The DVD copy of the film must be sent to the festival’s office before 3 October 2010.
