Tierra negra
Sinopsis

An overall look, taking in various aspects (social, geographic, geological, human, etc.), at the mining valley of Lumajo. However, the precise location is only a synecdoche, a point of reference, in order to analyze and discover, in both a scientific and a poetic way, the overall mechanisms present in the life of every community. Or something as trivial and yet as complex as what makes it possible that every time I press a switch, the light comes on?

Ricardo Íscar Álvarez

A graduate in Film Direction from the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin, Ricardo Íscar worked as Part-time Lecturer in Creative Documentaries at Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University. He currently combines work as Coordinator of the II Master’s in Creative Documentaries (UPF-IDEC) with teaching work (Documentary Scriptwriting and Production).
