The Pablo Sarasate International Violin Competition is a programme in honour of the great violinist from Pamplona. The competition is basically targeted at raising both his profile, as an exceptional musician on the world stage, and that of Navarre itself. R. Doublas Sheldon is the President of the Jury and Antoni Wit its Artistic Director. His rigorous standards and the high technical level of participants in the competition have enabled the contest to be included in the World Federation of Music Competitions, which has its headquarters in Geneva.

The Pablo Sarasate International Violin Competition is open to violinists aged 16 and 25 from all over the world. It awards a First Prize of 20.000€, a Second Prize of 10.000€ as well as a year of management with Columbia Artists and engagements with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra,, Cascais e Oeiras Chamber Orchestra et Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra.
