Lourdes Goicoechea Zubelzu.
Lourdes Goicoechea Zubelzu was born in Tolosa, Guipúzcoa, in 1960. She has lived in Navarra since 1974, where she became attached to the township of Olazagutía. She is married and has four children.
Ms Goicoechea holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Navarra, a Master’s degree in Auditing and Internal Control from the Centre of Financial Studies (CEF) in Madrid, and a Diploma in Higher Business Management (CADE) from the University of Deusto.
In the 1980s, she worked in the pharmaceutical company Cinfa (1982-1983) and the agri-food company Copeleche (1983-1987). Since 1988, she has been an advisor to SMEs and professionals on tax, accounting, and financial matters. Her portfolio includes clients from various fields from all over Navarra.
In July 2011, she took office as the Minister of Rural Development, Industry, Labour and the Environment of the Government of Navarra, an in June 2012, as first vice-president and minister for Economy, Finance, Industry and Employment of the Government of Navarra.
